Hawtins stud was very well represented at Wellington CDI and Premier League, with nine Hawtins horses competing, seven at big tour and two at small tour.
Charlotte Dujardin and Hawtins San Floriana started the ball rolling with a fantastic win in the Inter II with 77.8% It was a truly special moment to watch them perform. Also in the Inter II were Katie Bailey and Hawtins Barolo, who were third, and Davy Harvey and Hawtins Rossana who finished in sixth place! These were excellent results for three horses new to the level.
In the CDI small tour, Sara-Jane Lanning and Hawtins Liricia were on great form, and they secured a place in the prize giving on both days. Ottilie Bardsley with her gorgeous Hawtins Soave showed so much promise as they continue to develop their partnership together.
In the CDI Grand Prix tests, Paul Friday with Hawtins Horatio and Fenella Quinn with Hawtins Delicato both produced super tests which were wonderful to watch and had so many highlights.
On Friday, Fiona Brennan with De Angelis II and Sam Rahmatallah with Hawtins Falerno were in action in the Premier League Grand Prix. Such a fantastic achievement for these riders.
